FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

DO YOU SELL DIGITAL IMAGES?

Social media size images are provided for every image ordered, whether it’s one framed print, an album full of images, or a memories box of mounted prints. They are watermarked and copyrighted with ‘Dog Life Images’ and may be shared on any of your social media accounts. The size is perfect for online use, however these digitals are not for print purposes.

IS THERE A SESSION FEE?

Yes, your session fee reserves the date and time on my calendar. Once the $250 session fee is paid, your photo session is booked. You get $150 back as a product credit when you purchase $999 or more in print products at your ordering appointment.

MY DOG WON’T SIT STILL FOR A PORTRAIT. HOW CAN THIS WORK?

Some of my best images are of dogs in a standing position… see my Gallery of images. Besides that, I am fast on the camera trigger, capturing your dog’s expressions and actions in a split second. And sometimes we just wait for the right moment during your session. Taking a break and allowing your dog to just be him/herself - running, climbing, getting love from you, often makes for some of the best photos!

MY DOG IS FEARFUL OF NEW PEOPLE. CAN YOU GET GOOD PHOTOS OF A SHY DOG?

This is actually more common than you might think, especially with rescue dogs and other special circumstances. Some dogs are just basically camera shy. Patience is key… and often distraction helps them forget that they are the center of attention. We will make this time together so entertaining, your dog won’t be able to resist joining in the fun!

DOES MY DOG HAVE TO WEAR A COLLAR AND LEASH?

When out in public spaces, yes. We will obey the leash laws for an outdoor session, for the safety of your dog and others. If your dog’s session takes place indoors or within your fenced yard, no leash or collar is required. The good news is, collar and leash removal are part of my image post processing, so this will allow full focus to be on your dog. Unless, of course, you’re in love with that new, beautiful collar! In which case, we will leave it in the final image.

CAN OUR WHOLE FAMILY BE PHOTOGRAPHED WITH OUR DOG?
